Ryan was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. He then went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama with a Batchelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Classics. He obtained his JD from William & Mary Law in Williamsburg, Virgina. After graduation, Ryan spent several years in private practice focused on Workers’ Compensation litigation, general liability, employment, and administrative law, before joining Lohrengel & Associates as General Counsel.

Ryan is passionate about advising and advocating for trade associations. He believes in understand each association’s unique issues, challenges, and opportunities, and working to create lasting value though advocacy, education, and community.

As a second-generation Lohrengel, Ryan has spent years in and around association affairs, events, and activities. This have given him a deep understanding of how associations work, and the value that they bring to their industries.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys swimming, reading, cycling, and going to the beach.
